Carnivora
Carnivora possess specialized teeth. The group includes Felidae (cats), Canidae (dogs), Ursidae (bears), Procyonidae (raccoons), Mustelidae (weasles), Viverridae (civets) and Hyanidae (hyenas). All members have two pairs of carnassial teeth (top and bottom rows of their jaws, on the left and right sides), which are suited for tearing meat apart. While other animals in this group have teeth suitable for omnivorous and herbivorous diets, they also have carnassial teeth, indicating that they were once carnivorous.
