Edentata

Edentata

As their name "Edentata" suggests, they have weak teeth. The teeth of the sloth and armadillo are poorly developed, of simple design, and grow their entire lives. Anteaters have virtually no teeth. Today, these mammals are found only in South America. However, 1.6 million to ten thousand years ago, there were many more species, some reaching sizes comparable to elephants.
