Placentalia - 'The True Mammals'

Placentalia - 'The True Mammals'

Animals like egg-laying Monotremata, or Marsupialia, who raise their young in pouches, procreate in a manner midway between mammals and reptiles. However, other mammals developed a placenta in which juveniles mature inside the mother's womb, are born already with all the attributes of their parents. Animals which procreate with this"complete mammal model" are called "Placentalia" or "Eutheria."
