Dinosaur Teeth

Dinosaur Teeth

What dinosaurs ate, and how they ate it, can be learned from the shape of their teeth.Carnivorous dinosaurs had sharp even knife-like teeth, which were well-suited for piercing or tearing apart meat.
On the other hand, herbivorous dinosaurs had various types of teeth. The teeth of hadrosaurids displayed here have beak-shaped front teeth, which were convenient for tearing leaves, and their back teeth were packed together, which made them useful for grinding leaves.
