The Appearance ofAngiosperms

During the late Cretaceous Period, angiosperms replaced gymnosperms and thrived.Angiosperms perform clear double fertilization, and an endosperm is formed through fertilization. This characteristic is found only in angiosperms, but there are exceptions, where the ovule is encased in an ovary and possesses conductive vessels. These types of exceptional plants offer clues for learning about the ancestors of angiosperms.
