Adaptation to Terrestrial Habitats

When oxygen increased in the atmosphere, the ozone layer was created, which blocked strong ultraviolet radiation from the sun. The land became a place where the sun's energy, minus the powerful, damaging ultraviolet rays, and abundant amounts of oxygen could be used. Life forms no longer just lived in the seas - they moved onto land.
