Sexual Dimorphism

Sexual Dimorphism

Some insects have differences in physique and morphology between males and females. Most of these differences are deeply related to their mating behavior and propagation. Males that must hunt for females with olfactory senses greatly developed their antenna. When male insects compete to acquire a female their jaws and horns develop to be used as weapons to fight. There are some female insects which abandon once acquired wings in order to distribute their energy resource to the capacity to bear more eggs.
