Ammonite Wall

Ammonite Wall

These ammonite fossils of the Jurassic Period were discovered in Dorset in the southwestern part of England. Ammonites, along with octopus and squid, belong to the Cephalopoda Class. When considering the dominant life ranging over the world's oceans, trilobites may be regarded as a representative fossil in the Paleozoic era and ammonites representing the Mesozoic era. This ammonite wall is a stratum with a high concentration of fossils reproduced by connecting local rocks. In addition to ammonites, belemnites, bivalves and nautilus fossils are also included.
