Craters

Craters

When we observe the Moon with a telescope, we can see round pockmarks of different sizes. These are called craters. As advancement in the exploration of the Solar System proceeded, craters were also discovered on Mars, Mercury, Venus and other planets. Craters have also been observed on Halley's Comet, the moons of Mars and Jupiter, various other objects in the Solar System, and a number of craters have also been discovered on our Earth.
